Cancun, life on the beach and city

The kids on the beach had a running game of soccer.

We had short periods of cloud.  The sun was in the horizon.

Love the T.  I found it on  a local island

These Long Tail Cackles were everywhere

THe hotel's insurance company likely dictated the constant red flag indicating the waters were too hazardous to swim in.   In one narrow section of the beach a yellow flag was flown in front of the lifeguard's stand.  I noticed at that all hotels in this strip did the same thing.  Everyone ignored the warnings.

Raking sand.....  What a job.  No sticks or flotsam was allowed.

My brother's family joined us.  Great way to spend the holiday.

I played with the statues by the pool of the dead - the pool where old people congregated and did not move.

This was a great place for the kids.  Sand castles popped up in a number of locations.

The more active older folks were engaged in yoga on the beach every morning.

We took an afternoon and headed into Cancun.  That was a huge flag.

Coco Bongo was one of the happen places in the city, just at the edge of the strip.

The spaniards presence could be felt throughout the city

A cool trike for the police.  I could not help but wonder how safe it would be in a chase through the city.
