Houseboating on the Shouswap BC Provincial Parks

Last week in August 2018, the house boat called out of Sicomous on the Shuswap in BC, There were 7 of us, easily accommodated by the boat which can accommodate 12 squeezed in.  The weather was a little smokey, but would have been worse had it not rained for a couple of days.

Moss covered the forest floor like a carpet.  This was a botanist's dream.

Andres and Mia walking the beach.  They picked up garbage they found along the way as part of their contribution.  It is a shame that garbage can be found on these otherwise pristine beaches.

Our house boat.

We had plenty of time to enjoy the ambiance.  The visionaries.

Eagles frequented the area.  We watched an osprey drive one away in a violent dance.

Elvie having a moment.

The house boat had a slide.  We had to test out the limits.

The forest reclaims all.  Here the brachial fungi takes hold.

The forest changed character with every stop we made.
