Baja California Sur Rock Mecca - original Hotel California and back to the beach

This time, we went inland.

This serious guard dog was protecting the main tourist attraction in Todos los Santos, the Hotel California - famous and namesake from the Eagles song.

There were few renovations evident.  They had maintained their rustic brick floors.

The room where Don Henley penned his anthem.

And other nicknacks

Found these vases on sale in the hotel store.

This is the Tequila Sunrise Bar.  That is real signed currency from many countries taped to the bar, people leaving their marks.  The only other place I have seen this done was in Haida Gwaii Canada.

Of coarse, returning to the beach we find nothing more serious than play.

We saw these red flower peddles blowing across the beach.

Adult play comes in a few forms

And the clapping of the waves as they crashed upon the beach was periodically accented by a bow from the sea.

And the wave from the sky from the osprey

Back to the bar.

The incredible sinking man.  We watched a number of waves wash over him without him changing position.  He simply sunk further into the sand.

We definitely intend to return to this area. Well worth the trip.
