Powderface trail

Three weeks ago I took a hike with some friends to powderface trail, south west of Calgary.  The increase in rainfall was translated into a spectacular array of wildflowers in the alpine meadows. Indian paintbrush was plentiful, as were brown eyed susans, daisies, orchids, pasque, and many other types with bees and butterflys.  It was a spectacular hike.

IT is always good to hike with friends, especially if they run slower than you do.  Note the bear spray on Roger's hip.

And many butterflies were taking advantage of the warmth.

All in all, a great hike.
