What would the games be without the competition with dancers and pipes and drums.

And bands, primarily from the police and military organizations, although civilian organizations also competed. Youth bands and adults.
Calgary police
Military (Van Hughes). Note the judge watching intently. There were four judges watching the performance. The bands marched into the center circle, where they completed the compulsory performance. I found that the music grew on me.
