The Brave - Seschelt and area

The communities in the area were small and generally isolated.  Most of the locals were artists, aboriginals, or linked to the fishing, tourist or lumber industries.  Old docks could be found all along the coast.

Art is found in many forms in the most unlikely locations.  This was located on wooden piles remaining after an old dock had been removed.

I wish summer work was like summer school.  Class was in.

Those that had more courage could be found on a nearby higher dock.  Warnings not to use the structure as a diving board were ignored.

This young lady struggled with her first jump, and actually climbed outside of the handrail looking for a lower perch.  Ultimately she climbed back in, and chose not to jump - at least while I was nearby.  The distance to the surface of the water (I guess) was 25 - 30 ft.

Most did not hesitate.

One of the locals finding a quiet spot on the beach.  She was a teacher in the local public school.  She definitely had the right approach to her summer.
