Arches National Park to Bonneville Salt Flats to Sequoias (Redwoods) post 2

The return leg of our road trip had us visit Reno, stands of redwoods and the Bonneville salt flats.  We were hoping to see the race track, but the weather intervened.

Ryan knows well, majesty is all perspective.

The western have of the Bonneville Salt flats is better called mud flats.  Tracks could be seen of more adventurous souls testing their luck.  Note that it was difficult to assess how far away the far shore was.

Ryan could not help but stand out.

A closer look.

As we headed towards Reno, the light was playing tricks in the foot hills.

Pilot point with its peak obscured.

Wandering around the redwoods.

Earlier visitors clearly did not have the same sensitivities we currently have.  The tree seems to have adjusted.

I thought this was big.....

But was corrected.

Of course, the trip would not have been complete without putting our feet in the ocean.  We stopped at Cresent.  Fog added character to the shoreline.

And we passed Mount Hood as we headed back to Calgary.
