Numa Falls Kootenay National Park BC Canada

A warm, sunny March Saturday afternoon allowed for a wonderful walk along the river and over looking Numa falls. The snow, forming pillows everywhere, had yet to start to melt creating fantastic vistas.

Elvie joined me on the walk, and has provided all of the photos where I appear.

We tried to walk along a back country ski trail.  This trail did not provide a sound footing, leading to "post holing" as I walked.  Climbing out of the holes was a not always the most smooth activity.

Given the mass of snow evident, the snow melt may be problematic this year, leading to more flooding.
