Icefield Skywalk Jasper National Park Alberta Canada and Columbia Icefields summer 2018

The Skywalk provides a magnificent view of the valley and the edge of the Columbia icefields in Jasper National Park, Alberta Canada.  Tickets can be obtained at the interpretative centre.  I caution any visitors in that our visit to the ice field was not without mishap.  We were left by our bus on the field, and treated poorly by a couple of the students working for the operator, even personally offending one of our group.  The interaction definitely left a poor taste in our mouths, and given the price for the excursion, should not have happened.

The drive along the Icefields Parkway is spectacular, providing the best vistas possible in the Rockies.

Glaciers forming the edge of the Columbia Icefields.   Moraines created by the glaciers can be seen as ridges adjacent to the parking area.
